Haven't played this game in over a year... Never beat it, should probably get on that... Gained like 8 levels, the bosses seem to be way too over powering in this title. Just me? Perhaps...

What do you think of it on the whole? Worth the money? I have it down as a possible next buy but nobody over here seems to have played it enough to tell me. =)
It's not like any RPG you've ever played before. Only thing I can even come close to calling it is a hybrid between Arc the Lad and Chocobo's Dungeon...

You play in a squad of three. You have to be close to enemies to do more accurate and damaging hits which means they can hurt you just as much as well. Nothing moves unless you're moving... And you have the crazy ability to flip out and go gun crazy and fly through the air and shoot everything at the cost of a hero point to get your placement better on the map.

It's a fun game. You really gotta be paying attention to tutorials and combat strategies. You're able to take out enemies 20-30 levels more powerful than you if you can get your placement and attacks flowing properly.

I just can't seem to play it longer then a few hours then I put it down again for a long time. I'm forcing myself to play it now... It's just so slow moving... I've gone nowhere and done not much of anything and I'm starting chapter 8 or 9. One character got sick so I went down a floor and picked up cold medicine, onwards to the next chapter!

I'd recommend it if you like strange RPG's, but I'd also recommend you get another game with it so you have something to play when you get bored of it.
Ah, sounds enjoyable to me, I'll give it a go then! I've actually played a lot of Chocobo's Dungeon and loved it. Thanks! =)
It's only like Chocobo Dungeon because nothing else moves until you do... Here, this is how combat flows:

This guy really like hero charges though. You'll have to learn how to blend between actual placement and not just charges as well earlier in the game.
I love Resonance of Fate! It takes a while to figure out how to do the combat but once you get rolling it's great. All the customizing the game has is so fun. You can have your characters wear some weird and cool stuff. Also winning in this game is all about customizing your guns, and how to quickly burn up enemy armor so you can kill them easily. Also once you figure out how to use the hexes on the city board you really start to own that game.
