Castlevania has a curse for being absolutely horrible whenever it is made into a 3-D adventure. Props to this game though, I beat it and didn't mind the entire way through. It felt like I was playing Symphony of the Night but oin 3-D which is amazing. I loved Hector, and I really loved Isaac, I wish I could do half the crazy laugh as well as he does.
In any case, want to see an excellent 3-D castlevania, this is the one you need to play, don't play the other 3-D ones, stick to 2-D.
