Winter!: Prepare for holiday gaming!
I rented this from blockbuster when I was a young child around 8-is... My mother and I played it together and my grandparents came next door to see what happened to a game they remembered from Atari. I recall Grandma saying it wasn't the same but Grandpa took the controller from my mom and said it was like Mario so it should be a cake walk. My mother and grandmother stared at the two of us playing the game and although my Grandma initially didn't like it she kept throwing comments out about how beautiful the backgrounds were. Under water levels were her favourite, she said it felt like you could see forever into the background and it all waved so perfectly.
I have a lot of memories with this game and it was a very wise choice to turn the old formula of climbing a construction site into the 2D platformer it is these days. The toughness is very frustrating but that's something we've all become accustomed to nowadays in this series, right? Excellent game, holds up pretty well over time too.
