Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 was the first fighting game I ever actually spent money on. That must say something about this game as I'm generally very picky about my fighters. I didn't know a game inspired by a show could have such good fighting mechanics and a very sleek sexy style in graphics. The roster was absolutely insane as well, however, you usually didn't use most of them because they couldn't be nearly as powerful as others.

All in all the secret to fighting games being largely successful to me is being addictive and easy to pick up. This game delivers entirely and I put it in the same class as Dissidia Final Fantasy for original addictive fighting games.
