Dragon Quest Monsters is Enix trying to make a 'better' pokemon. What they ended up with was far from it, I enjoyed playing pokemon, customizing my characters, and making them have balanced move sets and what not. This game gives you a team of three monsters that you give orders to and they kinda just do whatever they want. The monster breeding was very lacking and got rid of your monsters that were good and left you stranded with a level 1 new monster that may (or may not) be a higher rank. The amount of pointless grinding was annoying and having to start over constantly to get a new monster that'll be better after fighting for 3 days to get him up where you old monsters were.

This game annoyed me, the graphics were incredible, but it just wasn't enough. It was also too slow moving, and the camera made me want to tear my eyeballs out.
