This game is garbage. It tries to be sim-city like but in order to have any real fun you need to spend real world money to get good stuff and have men that can explore harder dungeons without spending months leveling up your lowly adventurers. I hope the Dark Lord from the better FFCC downloadable game for Wii flies over and DESTROYS THIS LITTLE KING!

You know, I think the worst part is that at first it seems like it's going to be amazing. You spend all of your time waiting for that moment that's going to make it worth all the time you put into it, but it never comes.
I agree. What a piece of garbage. Did you play My Life as a Darklord though? I found it to be very addictive and a lot of fun.
No, but I'll have to give it a try. I hadn't intended to play it after playing My Life as a King.
Darklord is just a fancy tower defense.
@Roxas-UrBoxas In that case, I might have to check it out. I just expected it to be as terrible as MLaaK. Actually, it kind of put me off of a lot of WiiWare...
There's still some good Wii-Ware out there... And I don't know why Square keeps making Crystal Chronicles games when most people buy them and are largely disappointed... I mean how does a series that nobody likes manage to get so many installments while a series everyone loves (Chrono Trigger, Parasite Eve, The Mana series) gets a giant middle finger?

Anyways, don't judge MLaaDL because of MLaaK... Look up a youtube video of MLaaDL, you'll see they are two entirely different games even though they sound very alike.
Yeah, I don't understand either. The first CC had some potential. They might have had something if they had improved on that game and been rid of the chalice entirely. Instead, they keep taking these great ideas and going nowhere with them. It seems like any time they have a good idea for a game but fail to follow through with it, they slap the CC brand on it.
I agree entirely.
The DS installments had the same idea as the gamecube title but without the chalice... God that stupid chalice... I preferred playing single player JUST to make the moogle carry it. You then came across the problem of the 3rd round levels and some of the bosses were impossible and you needed team mates.

Oh, and I'm not defending the DS titles, they were also lame-sauce.
Yeah, if you tried playing it with exactly 2 players, it became basically unplayable. The enemies got stronger, but you still had only one person ready to fight. 3 players also sucked. Your options were pretty much 1 or 4.

It's too bad. They started with a great idea, but when it came to actually making the games, they really phoned it in.
I'm wising up though... I think the next time an FFCC comes out I'm going to fight my urge to play it just because it says FF on it.
Same here, although I stopped playing them after trying both MLaaK and Ring of Fates. Ring of Fates was another one with a lot of potential, but it had a lot of glitches and poor dungeon designs. Also, it lacked customization for the single player experience, which was what made the original so appealing to me.
Well we should make a pact. We won't buy the next installment of FFCC until enough people agree it shouldn't be missed and reviews from IGN, Kotaku, GS, Destructoid, and whatever else out there are also great.
