When I was 4 years old I played this game with my Grandpa who was crazy for it, but he wouldn't allow me to do anything fun on it. He'd let me buy items which you had to buy one at a time and walk around towns and gather information for him. He took this game very serious.

I later picked it up off of him when I was 10 and although I liked the game, I found it painfully slow moving. Being the first of it's kind I suppose it's forgivable, seeming as my age bracket was already graced with super nintendo and later editions of this series I suppose I couldn't appreciate this game. It took me two years to get the lead out and beat this game keyly because it was so annoying to play. I wish I played it when I didn't have other choices... It was a good game, a solid entry and beginning to the worldwide series... I was just too late.

However the remake for ps1, even though it was a whole lot easier, gave this game some value back to me. All the story, at a much faster pace.
