The story was predictable, the characters were one dimensional, the voice acting was gross, the cities were unoriginal....
What made me love this game? The combat was too awesome! I would go out of my way to fight creatures cause I loved trying everything out and seeing just how much I could hurt a monster after hurling it into the air. Everything I listed above doesn't even matter if game play is there! I always had fun beating stuff up with the characters provided... And I think this game is great because of that.
Also, this was the only Grandia game in the entire series I ever played. Maybe this isn't original, but to me it was.
