My friend Gary, who is Asian, loved Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and was unbeatable. He was a tournament player and a champion in my eyes and the eyes of others. He really wanted me to pick this game up and play with him and since nobody else would I decided to have some fun being his personal punching bag.
As luck would have it this game plays nothing like the second installment and caters towards people that have recently jumped on board the Capcom fighting genre - Namely ME! - The irony was I was against buying this game because I'd just be destroyed and I managed to do the destroying. It took him a solid month of me beating on him before he finally started to squeeze a few wins in. Now when we play... He is the champion I remember... But I did have a lot of fun with this title.
