Soul Calibur is a game that upsets me due to the fact that it has so much potential and primarily relies on button mashing and block timing, not combos and strategy. You can move in a 3D environment but it seems pretty pointless when most attacks cover a set radius anyways. Perhaps I'm tough on the Soul Calibur series but the only thing that made me purchase this game was Link and ironically a featured character was better and stronger than every other character that the game wrote it's story for! Three stars is being generous, it gained a bonus point for it's shallow weaponry customization.
